2. SouthWest MudFest at Bootleg Brewery

Do you love the thrill of adrenaline and don’t mind getting dirty? Then look no further, the SouthWest MudFest held at the Bootleg Brewery in Margaret River is for you!

The Bootleg Brewery is approximately a 3 hour drive south of Perth and is a family friendly venue. What many don’t know is that the town of Margaret River is also known for a range of delicious award winning brewery’s. This particular event consists of an obstacle course and mud racing, with a jam packed day full of mud, burgers and beers. Held on the 4th of July, this event is open for registration and there are a number of options to choose from. You can opt for the 5km Mud Mayhem, 12km Dirty Dozen or both! Don’t worry, there’s a hot shower waiting for you at the end.

3. Harris River Estate Family Day – Collie

The Harris River Estate Winery and Micro Brewery is holding an afternoon of music and entertainment for the family. This event is free and falls once a month, providing a day of fun events including face painting, bouncy castles and the opportunity to taste and buy wine and beer. It starts on the 5th of June at 1:30pm and wraps up at 4:30pm.

According to www.westernaustralia.com – CinefestOZ is Australia’s premier destination film festival, focused on Australian and French film. The Hidden Treasures of the Great Southern will be hosting its fifth Bloom Festival this year, according to www.westernaustralia.com.

The Great Southern blooms at this time of year with a huge array of treasures hiding in the bush and reserves such as rare spider orchids, cowslips and donkey orchids.

Grab a festival program from your local visitors centre or online and choose from over 40 events happening during September and October, and plan your trip through the Great Southern discovering treasures at every bend in the road.
