Generally in an older property the riser may not be suitable for the additional properties.
So in some cases, developers would need to cut in an additional riser and potentially increase the diameter of that riser. In other cases, we may be able to connect into that riser and use that to service both the blocks.
Sometimes the riser is in the wrong position for the new development, so it would be cut and sealed. These items are addressed at the time the builder completes the feasibility.
These costs can be generally included in the builders’ general work items as part of the building contract.
