1. Bake Hot Cross Buns with the family
Is Easter really Easter without Hot Cross Buns? Step it up a notch this year by baking your own with your family! Here’s a

3. Decorate your house with DIY Easter crafts
From unicorn eggs to toilet roll bunnies, there are plenty of inexpensive and fun ways to decorate your home this Easter. Who knew you could make toilet rolls more special than they already are! Here’s a list of craft activities to keep the kids busy.

4. Easter Egg Hunt

5. Egg and Spoon Race
Time for a little Easter competition with an Egg and Spoon Race! Or maybe you need to burn off a little Easter choccy. Forgotten the rules? Kidspot have you covered.

6. Make Easter cards for the community
There are many members in the community we are particularly grateful for at this time such as our nurses and doctors, pharmacists and grocery store clerks. There are also many community members who might be a little lonely this year, such as our elderly in nursing homes or neighbours who live alone. Why not brighten their day by making them Easter cards to show that you’re thinking of them.

7. Dine together, virtually!
For those that usually share a meal on Easter with extended family and friends, keep this up with a virtual dinner party! Set up Skype or Zoom and plant your computer on your dining table. Share what made your day special today or what you are grateful for to keep the mood lifted.

8. Create an indoor or outdoor camping experience
If Easter is the time you usually take a trip with the family – why not bring your camping experience to your very own backyard? Pitch a tent, roast marshmallows on the fire, play backyard games, enjoy a BBQ – you can still enjoy a camping experience with the family, whilst beating all the traffic – winning! 9. Watch an Easter movie
Get the family together after a day of celebrating, crack open the remaining chocolate and watch an Easter movie or any movie for that matter – it’s a time to enjoy with your family.

10. Read Easter themed books
Finish the day with your young kids by reading an Easter themed book. Easter Bilby is an Aussie favourite but there are plenty online you can order.
